As a Baja California area, it is wholly expected of Cabo San Lucas to have their fair share of golden beaches to cater to their impressive list of sun and sand-loving guests. Whether its a stroll along the coastline, a quest for tanned skin, a dip into the sea, or even a place to relax and enjoy the sea breeze, Cabo San Lucas beaches are all geared to please. It's more famous beaches include the Lover's beach (the cozy, well-hidden beach for couples), Medano beach (the main beach for everyone), and the various beaches situated along the different hotel resorts such as Terrasol and Sormal.

Of course, it's not just beaches that people look forward to-- there are a lot of activities to keep even the hardiest tourists occupied. The beach isn't only a place to go sunbathing and swimming. Cabo San Lucas has made sure to maximize the beach to its fullest potential. Water sports are all the rage when it comes to having an adrenaline rush. Jetskiing, kayaking and even paddled canoes are available from the long chain of hotels along the beach, at fair prices. Or if it's a leisurely pace you're looking for, try renting a sailboat and go cruise around the arches, and go whale watching if you're lucky.

Scuba diving and snorkelling are also popular activity choices, and just like watersports, the equipment is also readily available from hotels and resorts at friendly rates. Inexperienced people may even ask for an instructor and guide to help them out in their ecological adventure.

Sportfishing is another revered activity in Cabo San Lucas, as it frequently holds contests and tournaments for the sport (following standard fishing rules of course). Sports fishing isn't accessible to just anyone however, as it requires a fishing and boating license from participants. However, obtaining licenses aren't all difficult, if one knows where to go.

If you're tired of the beach, go rent an ATV (all terrain vehicle) and have a blast going through the dirt roads as if it were paved cement. Or if you want to stay off both the ground and sea, avail of Cabo's sky tours, better known as Ultra Light Glider tours, where tourists can have a spectacular view of the city and the coastline high above the ground.

Kids will enjoy the newest Cabo adventure park called Desertica, which offers activities such as sand buggies and horseback riding.
